Charming apartment for 2, or 2 plus child, attached to owners 14 century house, situated in a quiet hamlet, set among the rolling hills and forests of the Dordogne valley. Consisting of one double bedroom and one sizeable room which serves as the dining/sitting room with equipped kitchen at one end (gas cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine), then a shower-room/toilet. There is a separate garden with sunloungers and barbecue with parking area for own use.
No smoking indoors please.
The local village is a kilometre away with the old church, post office and a Sunday morning market during the summer months. Local activities include: tennis, horse-riding and canoeing. The nearest village with commerce, (restaurants and food shopping) is 5 kms.

You have the choice: either the pink or green room, with the private bathroom. There is the possibility of renting the 2 rooms together for a couple and their 2 children (ask for the price in this case) or 2 couples who know each other, please contact ( via Airbnb please).
Our 3rd bedroom, the four-poster bedroom, is special: very spacious, with its four-poster bed and a period bathtub, and private WC.
All 3 bedrooms are decorated in French country-style, in addition they each have their own coffee and tea-making facilities. There is a communal fridge and micro-wave available for guests in the communal living room space downstairs.
The local town of Bergerac is a 10 minute drive. The airport, 15 mins away, has flights to many towns in the UK (please check seasonal availability). There are sometimes seasonal flights to Marseille, Paris, Rotterdam and Brussels, again, please check availibility. The town of Bergerac is located on the Dordogne River and has plenty of gourmet restaurants and shops, selling local produce and regional wines. There are two markets a week, so lots of opportunity to buy fresh vegetables, wander round, absorb the French way of life sitting at cafés and watching the world go by. The area has much to offer for walkers, cyclists, sightseers and winetasters, with many quaint mediaeval villages, châteaux and gardens to visit. Les Eyzies, with prehistoric caves with cave paintings etc. is a pleasant hour’s drive away along the Dordogne river passing many châteaux and vertiginous clifftop villages, orchards and walnut farms.
